I created a separate login/password for this new workspace. Maybe that was a mistake. I have been able to switch between my two slack accounts seamlessly, ie. without having to log out and in.  I'll defer to Bob N3XKB who is on this list and has years more experience on slack than me.

If so inclined, there is also a slack app for your smartphone (that
admittedly I have not tried yet) that bypasses the need to be on the
NMVHF website. You'll have direct access anywhere you have cell
coverage. Might be more useful during contests and for alerting people
to Es openings when they are away from email.

there is a consensus, we can transition from our existing simple and
somewhat buggy web app to slack for a better experience.
