2m FT8 #vhf

I spend a lot of time on 6m FT8 and MSK144, but haven't been paying a lot of attention to 2m (MSK144) since I'm in the middle of rebuilding the 2m linear.  But, the past few weeks, I spot checked PSKreporter and see stuff like this on 2m FT8 (24 hour activity window).  Seems sparse in the west, maybe because few are checking it out.  Just a thought.  Will probably spend some more time monitoring 144.176.

Something is wrong with that map. There has never been a confirmed 2 meter QSO between Europe and the USA, except via moonbounce.

I could be misremembering but I believe the only transatlantic UHF/VHF non eme contact was done from an island off the coast of south America to an island off  the coast to Africa and it was done with one of the microwave bands.

Dave, I'm not near a computer with WSJTX installed, but I'm pretty sure the 2M FT8 frequency is 144.174.

That 2m activity has to be on EME  Don’t think we have any 2m es contacts to Eu from US.  FT8 freq is 144.174   msk is 144.150

After rereading the post, if those are FT8 contacts, eme use JT65,you must be looking at some HF freq with PSK reporter. Looks like the color for 20 meters

In the map options, click and activate the "Suppress bad QRG" option.  These are uploads to PSKReporter containing incorrect information, and the option mentioned is supposed to eliminate them from the display.  BTW, it does not always work from my experience.
