Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
Yep, the ARRL rules are more complicated. The rover needs to submit a
summary sheet for the contacts _outside_ the club circle.
Although I dunno how you put a summary sheet into Cabrillo

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
I think for CQ WW VHF as long as part of the rove is within club territory, the entire score counts. That is not the way it is for ARRL contest though. I will check the rules. - Duffey KK6MC

Jonesy - The ABQ airport is a good club center at this point. That should cover pretty much everyone in NM, you, the El Paso group, and W9RM, I think. If that is not adequate, I can adjust it. -

Jim,
Vy sorry to hear your Dad has left for greener pastures. I wish I could have met him. That’s a big loss. Hope you’re doing ok with it. Best to you, Ginger and your girls.

There was some concern about category creep, which dilutes competition. The VHF contests already have 10 categories, the analog

Furthermore, if it was felt that a distinction should be made for
"analog only" participants, why was the rover class(es) left out?
That's my reading of the new VHF rules PDF:
