220 FM in ABQ area
Looking to set up a sked to debug a new 220 FM-only setup in the ABQ area or East Mountains, hopefully before the Sept. VHF+ contest weekend.
Maybe start out on a repeater and then move to 223.50

Re: 2022 Sept VHF Contest -- Activity
Sorry to hear you're still clearing things up in South Dakota. Hope you are able to be back in the area soon.
I'll listen for folks next weekend, and see how we do.

Kyle,
I plan to be on 3 bands; 50, 144 and 432. I hope to have digi running on 144 and 432 by then as well as 50MHz. Can run SSB or CW in any event.

I'm planning to go out for Sept. VHF - maybe just heading down to DM53/DM54 on Saturday and operating closer to/at home Sunday.

2022 Sept VHF Contest -- Activity
Looks like the Sept VHF Contest is next weekend. Is anyone planning to be on the air?
I am considering a trip down to DM63 (Magdelena Ridge) or DM74 (Gallinas Peak) to operate remote for a few hours

Re: AA5PR/R in CQ WW VHF this weekend
John, ping me on Slack VHF-CHAT if you have Internet access and I'll work you on 2M. My 6M activity will probably be limited to looking for new grids or running guys on SSB if the band opens.
Good

AA5PR/R in CQ WW VHF this weekend
I'm planning on operating from DM86, DM76, and DM85 on Saturday. DM74 and DM75 on Sunday. I haven't been very good about sticking to a schedule in the past, so I'm not even going to publish one now,

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
If I recall correctly, there is no circle for ARRL contests. The club is set up as a regional entity, encompassing only the state of NM.
I still send in logs crediting NMVHFS though :)

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
I have done that in the past, identifying which QSOs were outside the club territory in the “Soapbox” section of the header. I think it worked, but it is an awkward way to do things. - Duffey

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
Yep, the ARRL rules are more complicated. The rover needs to submit a
summary sheet for the contacts _outside_ the club circle.
Although I dunno how you put a summary sheet into Cabrillo

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
I think for CQ WW VHF as long as part of the rove is within club territory, the entire score counts. That is not the way it is for ARRL contest though. I will check the rules. - Duffey KK6MC

Re: CQ VHF and contest rule
Jonesy - The ABQ airport is a good club center at this point. That should cover pretty much everyone in NM, you, the El Paso group, and W9RM, I think. If that is not adequate, I can adjust it. -
