Please get on 2 meters Steve. There is more activity in Arizona than a few years ago and sounds like it is the same in New Mexico. The last few VHF contests have had between 30 and 50 QSO's on 2

Re: VHF contest
Steve, that setup would work very nicely for 2m meteor scatter on MSK144. Yes, it's harder on 2m than 6, but you can setup skeds on Pingjockey. I suspect you'd get a lot of interest being in a

VHF contest
I will be on 6 meters, CW, SSB and FT8.
I could borrow some 2 meter equipment, but there is very little incentive for me to bother here on the eastern edge of DM52. I did this several years in a row

We'll miss you Mike!
W7QQ will be QRV on 6, 2, 222 and 432 but no 902 or 1296 for this one. If anybody wants to work 2.3, 3.4, 5.7, 10 or 24GHz I'll come up on those bands on ssb, cw or

Re: BIG 6M opening
By the the time I got home for lunch, you guys had pretty much used up all the magic. Just a handful of NW stations left.
There were a couple days recently with openings to W2/3/4 and the Caribbean.

Will be QRV 6/2/222 (ssb, cw, digital) and 440 FM. It's Es season, so anticipate spending the majority of time looking for multipliers on 6m. I will monitor the chat page located at

Re: N7GP ex WA8WZG ROVER PLANS for JUNE CONTEST
While not roving, I would love to setup skeds with anyone who wants to try in NM.
6-2304 good power on all bands, and digital capable on all bands as well.
Tropo, MS, EME.. whatever.

Re: Close-spaced rover antennas
Scott - I think you will be fine with no extra protection. Remember that the 9700 operates full duplex in the satellite mode, that is transmitting on one band while simultaneously listening on
