Mike, a lot of us are already members of SLACK chat pages. Is there a way to sign in to the NMVHFS Slack chat from an existing account. i didn't look to hard, but i didn't see any 'join other groups" prompt in my account - probably missed it.

If so inclined, there is also a slack app for your smartphone (that
admittedly I have not tried yet) that bypasses the need to be on the
NMVHF website. You'll have direct access anywhere you have cell
coverage. Might be more useful during contests and for alerting people
to Es openings when they are away from email.
This is an experiment with invites sent only to subscribers of the nmvhf
mailing list. Please let me know if you have questions or problems. If
there is a consensus, we can transition from our existing simple and
somewhat buggy web app to slack for a better experience.
